How we picked

We compared route-price visibility, included items, airport waiting, vehicle choices, booking access and public reviews, using each company’s site and public rating profiles checked Nov 5, 2026.

We’re Artisan Limo, a chauffeured car service in South Florida, and we wrote this guide. We put ourselves first and say so. Every fact about another company comes from its own website or its public Google and Yelp profiles, checked Nov 5, 2026. Prices and policies change, so check with each company before you book.

Eligible arrivals can add a $25 inside meet-and-greet with a name sign. SUV child seats cost $25 each, up to two, requested in advance with age, weight and height, subject to availability. Request a Ride Online 24/7 or call (888) 850-5060, answered 24/7.

The hourly page lists an Executive Sedan at $89 per hour and a Luxury SUV at $99 per hour, each with a three-hour minimum. It lists sedans, SUVs, vans, Sprinters, minibuses and motor coaches, and says child seats are included when the child’s age is provided.

Its Fort Lauderdale page states 60 minutes after landing; its MIA page does not give a numeric allowance. Book online or contact phone/text dispatch. The domain is limopedia.com.

Its FAQ lists child seats at $15 each. The company says airport waiting is 30 minutes for domestic and 60 minutes for international arrivals; later charges are not published. Its airport service offers a name-sign greeter, with an extra greeter charge possible for some large vehicles.

Worth knowing: Route fares and an hourly minimum are not published, and post-grace waiting charges are not stated.

System Shuttle and Tours (System Shuttle Miami): best for airport and cruise transfers

System Shuttle and Tours lists sedans, SUVs, luxury vans, minibuses and larger vehicles for airport and cruise trips. Its pricing is described as upfront, but its MIA pages do not give route prices. Airport arrival waiting is complimentary, with no duration stated; the company says it tracks flights. Meet-and-greet with luggage assistance is available, and child seats can be requested without a published price.

Its terms give airport departures 15 minutes of grace, then $20 plus gratuity per 30 minutes. Book online or by phone at (305) 240-6166 or (305) 733-4940. Its Miami service page says support is available 24/7. The domain is systemshuttle.com.

Best for: Miami airport and cruise transfers with several vehicle types.

Worth knowing: Arrival waiting has no stated duration; departure and point-to-point terms are separate.

Driven Miami: best for app booking and child-seat options

Driven Miami offers sedans, SUVs, a Mercedes S-Class and a 14-passenger Sprinter for point-to-point or hourly service. Its rates are described as all-inclusive, but no route prices or hourly minimum are published. The company says it tracks flights and adjusts pickup for delays; an arrival grace period and later wait charge are not stated. Child seats are promoted as complimentary.

Book at drivenmiami.com, in its iOS or Android app, by phone at +1-305-898-4315 or by email. The company advertises 24/7 service and support.

Best for: Families wanting app booking and complimentary child-seat options.

515 MIAMI: best for an inside greeting and flight tracking

515 MIAMI lists sedans, SUVs, 13-passenger Executive Sprinters, a Limo Sprinter and a 40-passenger Black Motorcoach. Its airport widget quotes trips and states that meet-and-greet, tolls, fuel and gratuity are included; parking and similar third-party charges may be separate. Hourly starts include $145 for a Cadillac XT6 and $225 for a Mercedes S-Class.

The airport page gives 40 minutes domestic and 60 international from touchdown, plus 30 minutes at FBOs. Extra airport waiting is $90 per hour in 30-minute increments. Meet-and-greet is inside with a name sign and luggage help; child seats cost extra, but the amount is not listed. Book through 515miami.com, its app, phone, text or WhatsApp, with at least two hours’ notice.

Best for: Travelers who want an inside arrival greeting and stated waiting rules.

Worth knowing: Route fares come from the booking widget, and the child-seat price is not published.

Blacklane GmbH: best for prebooked rides with child seats available

Blacklane offers Business Class and First Class sedans, vans and SUVs with one-way or hourly quotes online or in the app. Its About page says standard taxes, tolls, tips and fees are included in fixed upfront prices. The Miami FAQ lists hourly service at “$50-100 USD” as a general estimate, not a MIA fare. Child seats can be requested in booking notes at no additional charge, subject to availability.

Blacklane tracks flights when you provide a flight number and allows up to 60 minutes after landing; extra wait may cost more. Its Miami page describes an Arrivals meeting with luggage help. Request a quote at blacklane.com. No Miami Google or Yelp rating was found.

Best for: Prebooked rides with flight tracking and child seats available on request.

Worth knowing: The Miami hourly FAQ describes some extras differently from the broader pricing page, so check the offer terms.

Uber Black (Uber): best for on-demand app pickup

Uber Black is a premium sedan for up to 4 passengers; Black SUV takes up to 6. For on-demand MIA pickups, Black and Black SUV riders have five minutes to reach the car before per-minute waiting fees apply. Reserve airport guidance gives Black riders up to 60 minutes after flight arrival. The app shows the pickup location and door at Level 1 arrivals or Level 2 departures.

Uber’s past-month average for Black from Upper Brickell to MIA is $58, checked Nov 5, 2026. From 900 Biscayne Bay, the averages are $51 for Black and $64 for Black SUV. These are not fixed fares. Request through the app or uber.com. Uber Car Seat is a separate UberXL option, one Nuna RAVA seat for children 5 to 65 pounds, with a $10 surcharge.

Best for: Checking an on-demand premium ride and pickup details in an app.

Worth knowing: A past-month average can differ from the live offer because demand and trip details change.

Where do chauffeured cars, taxis and app rides meet you at MIA?

A prearranged chauffeur uses the meeting point set for your booking; taxis and app rides use airport pickup locations. Read the Miami Airport car service guide, Miami Airport ground transportation guide and Miami Airport rideshare pickup guide for the details.

Ride typeWhere to go at MIAWhat to do
Prearranged chauffeured carUse the meeting point set for your booking; eligible arrivals can add the $25 inside meet-and-greetCollect luggage, follow the booked instructions and call the concierge if the flight or baggage changes the meeting time
TaxiArrivals ground level, outside baggage claimJoin the taxi line and check the meter and airport charges
App rideLevel 1 arrivals or Level 2 departures, at the assigned location and door shown in the appCheck the app again after collecting bags and follow its current level and door

MIA groups North Terminal as D, Central as E, F and G, and South as H and J. Baggage claim is on Level 1; international processing at J is on Level 3. For a car to MIA Terminal E, share Concourse E and the arriving flight, then follow the booked-car meeting point. A ticketing counter is not necessarily the arrival pickup point.

How does MIA airport waiting compare across providers?

Arrival waiting differs by provider, and some companies state a grace period only for another airport or pickup type. Compare the actual MIA arrival rule before booking, especially for an international flight or a group vehicle.

ProviderPublished airport arrival waiting
Artisan Limo60 minutes domestic or 90 minutes international from wheels-down for sedans and SUVs; Sprinter and coach wait is set in the written quote
LimopediaIts Fort Lauderdale page states 60 minutes after landing; its MIA arrival allowance is not stated numerically on the pages checked
American Transportation & Limo Service30 minutes domestic and 60 minutes international; later airport waiting charges are not quantified
System Shuttle and ToursComplimentary airport-arrival waiting is advertised, but the duration is not stated; departure waiting uses separate terms
Driven MiamiFlight tracking is stated, but an arrival grace period and later wait fee are not published
515 MIAMI40 minutes domestic or 60 minutes international from touchdown; FBO waiting is 30 minutes; additional airport waiting is $90 per hour, billed in 30-minute increments
Blacklane GmbHUp to 60 minutes after landing for airport pickups; additional waiting may incur a charge
Uber BlackOn-demand MIA pickups allow five minutes to reach the car before per-minute fees; Reserve airport guidance gives up to 60 minutes after flight arrival for Black rides

A no-number policy is not the same as no waiting. Ask whether the allowance starts at touchdown, scheduled pickup or the time the chauffeur reaches the meeting point, and what the charge is after that. Artisan’s sedan and SUV allowance starts at wheels-down. For Sprinters, coaches and private-flight arrivals, waiting is set in the written quote.

How much is an MIA taxi, and is it cheaper than a car?

MIA taxis use a meter; Miami-Dade says flat fares were eliminated. Waiting is $0.40 per minute. Add the $2 airport origination fee and $15 minimum. Larger SUV and van taxis have a 30% meter surcharge, except wheelchair-accessible taxis serving wheelchair users. These airport figures were checked Nov 1, 2026.

Compare the taxi meter or live app offer with the car fare for the same trip. Uber’s past-month averages, checked Nov 5, 2026, are $58 for Black from Upper Brickell to MIA and $51 Black or $64 Black SUV from 900 Biscayne Bay to MIA. The MIA rideshare pickup guide explains app pickup locations.

Can you take Metrorail, Tri-Rail or Brightline from MIA?

Yes. MIA’s free MIA Mover connects the terminal with the intermodal center and transit connections. Miami-Dade Transit lists Metrorail and Metrobus at $2.25. On weekends, the Orange Line is an airport shuttle between MIA and Earlington Heights, where riders transfer for onward rail service.

Tri-Rail weekday fares range from $3 to $10 by zones, and its weekend or holiday day pass is $5 (Tri-Rail, checked Nov 1, 2026). MIA connects by MIA Mover; Tri-Rail’s FLL station has a complimentary airport shuttle. Brightline’s airport connector is $12 plus a $3 fuel surcharge with a same-day train ticket, first come, first served (Brightline, checked Nov 1, 2026). Some South Florida to Orlando fare types include a one-way connector.

Rail fares are per passenger and need station and final-leg planning; a chauffeured fare is for the vehicle. Compare the full party, bags and address. See the Miami Airport ground transportation guide.

How should you plan an MIA to PortMiami or FLL transfer?

For PortMiami, enter the cruise terminal assigned to your sailing rather than a general port address. The Artisan example from MIA to PortMiami has an Executive Sedan price of $165.97 for the sample pickup. Build in time for the airline arrival, luggage and cruise check-in; airline waiting rules do not determine when a cruise passenger is ready to leave the ship. Compare the PortMiami car service for cruise-specific pickup planning.

The MIA to FLL Executive Sedan example is $243.10 on the sample date. If your trip runs the other way, enter FLL as the pickup for a new quote; the reverse direction has its own route details. See Fort Lauderdale airport car service or the Fort Lauderdale airport to Miami route for that leg. For a private aircraft at OPF, send the FBO and tail number, or your flight team’s timing, and we coordinate your pickup. Private-flight waiting is set in the quote; see Opa-locka Executive Airport car service.

Which vehicle fits your passengers and bags?

Choose the cabin by counting both travelers and luggage. Artisan Executive and Luxury Sedans take up to 2 passengers and 3 bags. Executive SUVs and Luxury SUVs take up to 6 passengers and 6 bags. Child seats are SUV only, cost $25 each, and are limited to 2 per vehicle. Request them in advance with each child’s age, weight and height, subject to availability.

Sprinters and coaches are priced by written quote. Artisan Sprinters carry about 13 passengers, Mini Coaches up to 24 passengers and Motorcoaches up to 56 passengers. Group vehicle luggage layouts and waiting are set in the written offer. Send the full party size, bag count, pickup and destination before comparing a larger vehicle with several sedans or SUVs.

If you want an inside arrival greeting, eligible MIA meet-and-greet service costs $25 and includes a chauffeur with a name sign. Without it, use the booked meeting point. For a booking made for someone else, the trip information goes to the booker; pass the pickup plan to the traveler.

When does hourly service make sense after MIA?

Hourly service suits an airport pickup followed by meetings, shopping or several planned stops when you want the car to remain with you. Artisan’s car service has a three-hour minimum. Executive Sedan service is $120 per hour, Executive SUV service in a Suburban is $144 per hour, Luxury SUV service in an Escalade is $165 per hour, and Luxury Sedan service is $200 per hour. Three hours totals $360, $432, $495 and $600 by class, before any optional gratuity.

Book three to twelve hours online or call about a longer day. Extra time is billed in 30-minute steps at the same rate, with your approval and dispatch approval, subject to availability. List each stop and your planned finish before choosing the block. See Miami hourly chauffeur service for the retained-car option. Ordinary sedan and SUV fares do not use demand-based surge pricing; Art Basel week and New Year’s Eve use event-week estimates. Art Basel Miami Beach runs Dec 2 to 6, 2026; review the Art Basel Miami Beach car service page for event-week estimates.

What should you ask before booking an MIA car?

Use the same pickup, destination, date and party details for each quote.

  • What’s the total for my route, date, time and vehicle?
  • Which charges are included, and which are separate?
  • When does airport waiting start, how much is included, and what is extra?
  • Where is the meeting point, and is inside greeting available?
  • How are early, delayed or changed flights handled?
  • What are the passenger and bag limits?
  • Can I request child seats, and what do they cost?
  • Is the service hourly, point-to-point or a group quote?
  • What are the deposit, cancellation and payment terms?
  • Who receives trip details when I book for a guest?

For a family, include child ages, weights and heights and all bags. For a cruise, send the terminal shown in the sailing information. For a connection, provide both airports and each flight number. For a private-flight pickup, send the FBO and tail number, or your flight team’s timing, and we coordinate your pickup.

How do you book an Artisan MIA car?

For a sedan or SUV, enter MIA, the exact destination, date, local pickup time, flight, passengers and bags. Choose a class and review the route price, with gratuity separate. Save a card to send the request without an immediate charge. Artisan accepts, revises or declines, and charges after acceptance. Group requests need route, stops, timing, passenger and bag counts; the written quote sets vehicle and waiting terms.
