Ground transportation for flight departments and FBO arrivals

Connect the ground journey to the actual flight and FBO. Share the passenger entrance, local schedule, traveler contact and flight-team updates, including a tail reference when available. Artisan coordinates passengers and crew; the aviation facility decides where a ground vehicle may meet them.

Reserve your ride

Mark that the trip involves a private flight, enter the FBO as the pickup or drop-off and add facility and meeting notes. The tail number is optional when you submit; send it as soon as it is known.

Use the named FBO and its passenger entrance address. An airport administration or main-terminal address may lead to the wrong building; Chicago Executive specifically asks visitors to identify their FBO. Name the flight-team contact for ETA changes and the person who can accept a revised ground offer.

Select the private-flight option for each relevant leg, enter the FBO location and meeting notes, and provide a tail reference when known. Public flight data can be restricted under FAA LADD, so direct schedule updates from the flight team remain useful.

Ramp and planeside

Planeside meeting is the FBO's decision

The FBO or airport authorizes ramp access. A car reservation alone provides no permission to meet planeside. TSA guidance recommends facility controls for outside ramp vehicles, including identification and escort procedures.

Request the desired handoff with the FBO before travel and pass its instructions to Artisan. If ramp access is unavailable, use the passenger meeting point that the facility permits.

Waiting and changes

Waiting after landing and changes to the schedule

National sedan and SUV airport waiting includes 60 minutes from actual wheels-down for domestic arrivals and 90 for international arrivals. Taxiing, unloading and customs count within that window; excess waiting is billed by the minute with a receipt. Confirm how the actual landing will be established when public tracking is restricted. Group vehicles follow the waiting terms in their written offer.

Customs arrangements differ by airport. Miami–Opa-locka, for example, lists US Customs on the airfield. State whether the passengers must complete customs before the ground handoff.

Report a changed ETA, FBO or airport promptly. Call immediately for a diversion. For departures, specify when the passengers must reach the FBO rather than using the aircraft departure time as the car pickup time.

Passengers, crew and bags

Choosing a vehicle for passengers, crew and bags

Confirm luggage against the offered cabin. An SUV accommodates up to 6 passengers and 6 bags; Jet and Limo Sprinters offer more seats but only four to six bags at most. Ask about additional luggage capacity when the full flight party has checked cases.

Treat a crew transfer with another time or hotel as a separate movement. Include the crew lead contact and its own addresses, schedule and vehicle requirements.

Pricing and confirmation

How an FBO trip is priced and confirmed

Review the displayed fare for an eligible sedan or SUV FBO transfer. Submission saves a card without charging it; Artisan approves the accepted arrangement before charging, and payment must succeed for confirmation. Sprinters, vans and coaches receive written offers.

Local private-flight guidance is available across the six service markets, including Dallas–Fort Worth and Atlanta. Name the operating airport and FBO on every leg. Standard confirmed journeys have a full-refund window of at least 48 hours before pickup.

Flight department questions

For your exact route, vehicle and timing, review the trip details and terms before submitting.

Speak with the concierge
Can the chauffeur meet passengers at the aircraft?

Request aircraft-side collection only after checking the FBO's rules. Facility permission and the actual ground operator's access must be confirmed; the car reservation alone does not authorize ramp entry. Otherwise, agree the passenger meeting point directed by the FBO.

What do you need for an FBO pickup?

Name the airport and handling FBO, local arrival estimate, lead passenger and reachable mobile. Add the passenger and luggage counts, destination, passenger entrance and any facility instructions. You can send the tail reference later if it is not available when submitting.

Is the tail number required to book?

You may submit the request before the tail reference is known. Forward it to Artisan as soon as it becomes available so the arrival information and passenger handoff can be coordinated with the flight team.

How long will the chauffeur wait after landing?

Sedan and SUV airport arrivals use the published 60-minute domestic or 90-minute international allowance from actual wheels-down, including baggage and customs. Agree with Artisan how the flight team's landing time will be communicated if public tracking is restricted. Sprinters and other group vehicles use their accepted offer's waiting terms.

What if the aircraft is early, late or diverted?

Report the changed ETA or airport to Artisan promptly. An early arrival is accommodated where reasonably possible; a delay or diversion requires the ground itinerary to be re-coordinated. Call the concierge immediately for an airport change and have the revised arrangement confirmed.

Can you move the crew to their hotel too?

Request the crew's movement separately, using the crew lead's contact, handling FBO, hotel address and required pickup time. That gives the crew an itinerary of its own instead of assuming it follows the passengers' timing.

Which vehicle suits passengers with golf bags or skis?

Declare the number and dimensions of golf bags, skis and other oversized items before choosing the vehicle. SUVs are planned for up to 6 bags, while Jet and Limo Sprinters have only 4–6 bags of storage at most, depending on layout. The full load may require another configuration or an additional vehicle.

Can you arrange FBO pickups in other markets?

Request an FBO pickup through the same form in any of Artisan's six US markets, naming the actual airport and facility. Availability is reviewed before a priced request is charged. For a different city, contact Artisan before relying on a ground arrangement.
