How we picked a luxury car service

We compared vehicle capacity, fare display, airport waiting, booking and service area, using company pages and public profiles checked Nov 5, 2026. We’re Artisan Limo, a chauffeured car service in New York, Los Angeles and Orange County, Chicago, South Florida, Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth and Las Vegas, and we wrote this guide. We put ourselves first and say so. Every fact about another company comes from its own website or its public Google and Yelp profiles, checked Nov 5, 2026. Prices and policies change, so check with each company before you book.

Artisan Limo: best for choosing the exact vehicle class and seeing the full price before you book (this is us)

Artisan Limo is a premium chauffeured black car service in the seven markets listed above. Choose an Executive Sedan, Executive SUV, Luxury SUV or Luxury Sedan for a one-way or hourly ride; the route price is shown before you book. Rides start at $135, hourly at $120, and Sprinters and coaches receive written quotes. Sedan and SUV airport waiting is 60 minutes domestic and 90 minutes international from wheels-down. Eligible-airport meet-and-greet is optional for $25. SUV child seats are $25 each, up to two, requested in advance with each child’s age, weight and height, subject to availability. Every chauffeur signs an NDA on request. For private flights, send the FBO and tail number, or your flight team’s timing, and we coordinate your pickup. Request online or call (888) 850-5060, answered 24/7. Best for: choosing a class and seeing the full price before you book. Worth knowing: Artisan serves only the seven markets listed above.

Blacklane GmbH: best for First Class app booking across many cities

Blacklane connects travelers to chauffeur providers in more than 500 cities across 60-plus countries, including Chicago, Las Vegas, Atlanta and Dallas. Its First Class tier names Mercedes S-Class, BMW 7 Series and Audi A8 sedans; models vary by city. Blacklane gives an upfront quote by route or hourly duration through its website or app, and the fare can change with pickup time, availability and demand. The company describes airport waiting of up to 60 minutes, flight tracking for airport arrivals and child seats at no extra charge for pre-booked rides when available. Hourly bookings have a two-hour minimum; ask which trip conditions apply. Visit blacklane.com or use its app to compare the First Class tier with other ride classes. Best for: travelers who want a pre-booked First Class sedan through a global app. Worth knowing: Blacklane says it connects guests with local chauffeur providers and does not own or control every vehicle.

Carey International, Inc.: best for corporate billing across a broad network

Carey says its network reaches more than 1,000 cities in over 70 countries. Its fleet includes Executive and Luxury Sedans, SUVs, vans, motor coaches and specialty vehicles, with models and availability varying by market. Get a trip quote through carey.com, the Carey app, CareyConnect or its 24/7 reservations line. Carey does not publish one national route-fare table or universal hourly minimum. Its support page describes 60 minutes of airport waiting from the actual flight landing, while its terms describe other wait conditions when a rider leaves the agreed meeting point, so review the terms for the ride. Carey offers airport meet-and-greet and luggage help; its site says it does not provide child seats. Best for: companies coordinating travel and consolidated billing across cities. Worth knowing: Carey’s support and terms pages describe airport waiting and fare inclusions differently, so check the terms that apply to your quote.

EmpireCLS Worldwide Chauffeured Services: best for corporate and event moves with group vehicles

EmpireCLS serves more than 1,000 cities through company operations and local partners. Its fleet pages list sedans, Cadillac Escalade SUVs, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans, minibuses and full-size motor coaches; model availability varies by market. Request an online rate or use its app or phone reservation team, which is available around the clock. At empirecls.com, request an online rate or book through the app or phone. Airport fares may be estimates, and its terms list charges that can affect the final amount. Terms allow 45 minutes for domestic and 75 minutes for international airport arrivals. Child safety seats are available for $25 each. Best for: corporate groups and event movements that may need several vehicle sizes. Worth knowing: EmpireCLS lists an $18 airport arrival fee, while other trip charges may also apply.

Savoya: best for executive travel programs across many markets

Savoya says it serves more than 300 markets worldwide and offers executive sedans, S-Class sedans, SUVs, Sprinters and coaches where available. Its portal and app provide market-specific one-way or hourly/as-directed quotes; the company does not publish a national fare table or one hourly minimum. Savoya says fixed transfer fares include 30 minutes of waiting at pickup, with extra time or stops potentially costing more. It tracks commercial flights and offers 24/7 client care. Child seats can be requested in select markets, but availability and cost depend on the program. Book or manage at savoya.com, in the portal or app, or contact support. Best for: organizations coordinating executive transportation across cities. Worth knowing: hourly minimums and unexpected airport, parking, toll or tax charges can vary by trip.

Uber Technologies, Inc. (Uber Black / Uber Black SUV): best for premium app rides on demand or by reservation

Uber Black is a premium app ride in an eligible sedan for up to four passengers; Uber Black SUV accommodates up to six. Request a ride on demand or use Reserve where available. At uber.com or in the app, the upfront price can vary with demand, route, time and market charges. Published ORD-to-Chicago averages are $108 for Black and $135 for Black SUV. For airport pickups, meeting time and waiting terms depend on the ride type and whether the trip uses Reserve. The cited pages do not describe a staffed meet-and-greet or a Black-specific child-seat offer. Uber’s airport pages say ride options vary by location, and its route figures are averages rather than fixed fares. Best for: travelers who want an app request and an eligible premium vehicle without arranging a chauffeur by phone. Worth knowing: the airport-wait wording differs across Uber’s official pages, so check the ride details shown in the app.

Lyft, Inc. (Lyft Black / Lyft Black SUV): best for app-booked premium rides in select cities

Lyft Black is a high-end sedan with a black exterior and leather interior, for up to four riders; Lyft Black SUV seats up to six. Lyft offers these ride modes in select cities, with local driver supply affecting availability. At lyft.com or in the app, an upfront price reflects ride type, time, traffic and demand. Its Black guidance says a driver may wait up to 10 minutes and wait fees apply after five minutes. The company does not publish a sample Chicago Black fare in the pages reviewed. The cited rider pages do not specify a staffed meet-and-greet, Black-specific flight tracking or a Black-specific child seat. Best for: riders who prefer to request a premium sedan or SUV in the Lyft app where the ride mode is available. Worth knowing: Lyft’s published Chicago Black information advises riders to bring and fit a legally required child seat.

What does luxury mean in the vehicle?

Luxury describes a vehicle class and cabin, not a guarantee of one make or model. Compare capacity and luggage space; models can vary by city and date.

Artisan classExample vehicle or class detailPassenger capacityLuggage capacityPublished starting rate
Executive SedanSedan classUp to 2Up to 3 bags$135 per ride
Executive SUVChevrolet SuburbanUp to 6Up to 6 bags$155 per ride
Luxury SUVCadillac EscaladeUp to 6Up to 6 bags$185 per ride
Luxury SedanMercedes S-Class or BMW 7 SeriesUp to 2Up to 3 bags$235 per ride

A sedan fits one or two travelers with standard luggage; an SUV gives a family or small team more room. A Luxury Sedan is distinct from the Executive Sedan, so request the class you want. See the Artisan fleet. For groups larger than six, Sprinters carry about 13 passengers, Mini Coaches up to 24 and Motorcoaches up to 56, by written quote.

Other providers also name vehicle models. Blacklane’s First Class tier names S-Class, 7 Series and A8 sedans. Carey lists S-Class and Lexus LS sedans, Escalade or Suburban SUVs, Sprinters and coaches. EmpireCLS lists BMW, Cadillac, Lucid, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo sedans, plus Escalades, Sprinters and coaches. Savoya names S-Class sedans, Escalade, Suburban and Yukon Denali SUVs. Uber Black and Lyft Black set vehicle standards rather than promising one make. Ask whether a model is available on your date.

How much does a luxury car service cost?

A luxury car service may quote a route, hourly block or demand-based app fare. Artisan rides start at $135 for an Executive Sedan, $155 for an Executive SUV such as a Suburban, $185 for a Luxury SUV such as an Escalade and $235 for a Luxury Sedan. Hourly service starts at $120. Your route has its own displayed fare.

The sample Artisan prices below use one example route in each market. Each quote was checked Nov 5, 2026 for one passenger, one bag and a one-way pickup on Saturday, Nov 14, 2026 at 10 a.m. local time. Required trip charges are included, and gratuity is optional on its own line. The full price is shown before you book.

Example routeExecutive SedanExecutive SUVLuxury SUVLuxury Sedan
O’Hare (ORD) to Willis Tower, the Loop$211.60$235.86$278.62$345.65
Harry Reid (LAS) to Bellagio$159.69$181.07$215.18$270.67
Hartsfield-Jackson (ATL) to Fox Theatre, Midtown$184.25$206.99$245.20$306.14
DFW Airport to The Adolphus, Downtown Dallas$217.59$242.17$285.94$354.29

These are route examples, not universal fares; time, destination, passengers, bags, stops or event dates can change the price. Other markets’ route examples are on their market pages.

What does a luxury car service price include?

Check the price display and ride terms before you compare providers. With Artisan, the full price is shown before you book, required trip charges are included, and gratuity is optional on its own line. A card is saved when you request; we review the ride and charge only the price you accept. Standard sedan and SUV requests have no surge pricing; major event dates use event-week estimates. Sprinters and coaches receive written quotes.

Other companies use different definitions. Blacklane says standard fares include taxes, tolls, tips and fees, though added waiting or distance may cost more. Carey advertises all-inclusive fares but its terms list possible exclusions. EmpireCLS calls airport fares estimates and lists additional charges. Savoya includes gratuity, while some airport, parking, toll and tax charges may be extra. Uber and Lyft show upfront app prices that can change with trip edits or demand. Compare the exact vehicle, wait allowance and fare terms.

For airport arrivals in an Artisan sedan or SUV, the waiting allowance is 60 minutes for domestic flights and 90 minutes for international flights, measured from wheels-down. An optional meet-and-greet is $25 for eligible airport arrivals. Sprinter and coach waiting is set in the written quote. Request a chauffeured airport transfer with the terminal, flight, passenger count and luggage details so the pickup instructions fit the vehicle.

Luxury car service vs Uber Black and Lyft Black

A pre-booked chauffeured ride and an app-based Black ride can both use a premium sedan or SUV. Chauffeur booking can let you select a class, plan airport details and view a route price; Uber Black and Lyft Black depend on eligible drivers, availability and demand. An app ride suits an immediate request; a chauffeur booking can suit a planned class or multi-stop schedule.

Uber publishes average fares for selected airport routes, not fixed quotes. Checked Nov 5, 2026, these are past-month averages, not fixed fares or direct same-route comparisons with the Artisan table.

Uber route pagePublished average for premium ride optionImportant distinction
O’Hare to Chicago, IllinoisUber Black $108 average; Uber Black SUV $135 averageAverage ride-option figures, not the ORD-to-Willis-Tower quote above
Harry Reid to Las Vegas, NevadaSedan $37 average; SUV $52 averageThe route page uses ride labels other than Black and Black SUV
Hartsfield-Jackson to Downtown AtlantaUber Black $78 average; Uber Black SUV $103 averageDowntown route average, not ATL-to-Fox-Theatre quote
DFW Airport to Fort Worth, TexasUber Black $106 average; Uber Black SUV $162 averageFort Worth route average, not DFW-to-The-Adolphus quote

These are historical route averages, not fixed fares; demand affects the live app price. Lyft publishes no comparable Chicago Black sample fare in the pages reviewed. Uber Reserve and on-demand airport pickups use different wait terms, and Lyft’s Black wait fees start after five minutes. Check flight changes, pickup directions and extra-wait charges.

When is an hourly luxury car service useful?

Hourly service fits a day with several stops, a business schedule that may shift or an event where you want the same car available between locations. Artisan’s hourly rates are $120 per hour for Executive Sedan, $144 for Executive SUV, $165 for Luxury SUV and $200 for Luxury Sedan. The minimum is three hours, totaling $360, $432, $495 or $600 by class. Extra time is billed in 30-minute steps at the same rate, subject to availability and approval by you and dispatch. The hourly chauffeur service page has service details.

Give the first pickup time, stops, end time, passengers and luggage. Ask when hourly billing starts, whether the car stays between stops and how extensions are charged. Blacklane and EmpireCLS list a two-hour standard minimum; Carey and Savoya vary minimums by market or vehicle. Uber Black and Lyft Black are trip-based app products, not published national hourly packages. Compare the entire time block, not only the hourly rate.

What should you plan for a major event?

Event weeks can change demand, route access and vehicle availability, so use an event-week estimate rather than applying a normal-week price to a championship game, large concert, convention or New Year’s Eve. This distinction is important in Las Vegas for the Grand Prix, AWS re:Invent, the National Finals Rodeo and New Year’s Eve. The F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix estimate lists hourly ranges of $165 to $200 for an Executive Sedan, $195 to $240 for an Executive SUV, $225 to $275 for a Luxury SUV and $260 to $320 for a Luxury Sedan; Sprinter service is about $325 to $400 per hour by written quote. These are event-week estimates, not normal hourly prices.

For AWS re:Invent and the National Finals Rodeo, the current event-week hourly estimates are $135 to $165 for a Sedan, $160 to $195 for an SUV, $185 to $225 for a Luxury SUV and $220 to $260 for a Luxury Sedan; a Sprinter is about $250 to $320 per hour by written quote. For New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas, the event-week hourly estimates are $150 to $190 for a Sedan, $180 to $225 for an SUV, $205 to $255 for a Luxury SUV and $240 to $290 for a Luxury Sedan; a Sprinter is about $260 to $350 per hour by written quote. Request online and we review each event booking and send the final price for you to accept before your card is charged.

For championship games or concerts at Mercedes-Benz Stadium or AT&T Stadium, large conventions and New Year’s Eve, request an event-week estimate with the venue, pickup and return plan. The route examples above are not event-week prices. Written estimates are needed for these other markets. The events and group transportation page covers event planning, while the Mercedes-Benz Stadium and AT&T Stadium pages give venue-specific details.

What should you ask before booking?

For searches such as luxury car service near me or luxury black car service, first check whether the pickup city is in the provider’s service area. Ask for the exact vehicle class and passenger/bag capacity; models vary by city and date. Check whether the fare is an app price, average, estimate or full route price, and which charges are included. Ask where airport pickup happens, when waiting begins, and what extra time and child seats cost. Check hourly minimums, billing start and extensions. For groups, request the layout and a written quote. Approved Artisan corporate accounts offer company invoicing, cost centers and chauffeur continuity on request where possible.

Best Luxury Car Service FAQs

These answers cover vehicle class, pricing and airport plans.

What is a luxury car service?

It is pre-arranged transportation in a premium sedan, SUV or larger vehicle, often with a professional chauffeur. Check the class and terms because the phrase does not promise one make or model.

What are the best luxury car services in Atlanta?

How much does a luxury car service cost?

Artisan’s published rides start at $135 for an Executive Sedan, $155 for an Executive SUV, $185 for a Luxury SUV and $235 for a Luxury Sedan. Route prices differ; the full price is shown before you book.

Is a luxury car service better than Uber Black?
