Orange Line
Taking the CTA Orange Line from Midway
The Orange Line is the train from Midway to downtown. According to the airport, the station is just east of the terminal at the Midway Transportation Center, connected by an enclosed walkway. Follow the signs for "CTA Trains" or "Trains to City." Trains run from about 4:00 to 4:30 a.m. until about 1:00 a.m. every day, and the N62 Archer bus covers the overnight hours. Downtown, trains run clockwise around the Loop.
The fare is $2.50 per ride. The train works well if you're traveling light and staying near a Loop station. If you have several bags, children, a late arrival or an address away from the Loop, a car takes you to the door.
