CTA trains
Taking the CTA between O'Hare and Midway
According to Midway, you can take the CTA between the two airports with one transfer downtown. From Midway, take the Orange Line from the station just east of the terminal, get off at Clark/Lake and transfer free to the Blue Line toward O'Hare. From O'Hare, reverse the trip: take the Blue Line to Clark/Lake and transfer to the Orange Line toward Midway. Midway's page says to allow up to two hours for the trip by train.
The train is the low-cost option if you're traveling light and have plenty of time between flights. With checked bags, children or a tight connection, a car goes directly between the terminals.
Shuttle
Is there a shuttle between O'Hare and Midway?
Midway lists a shared-ride taxi at $35 per person from Midway to O'Hare, shared with other passengers going the same way. O'Hare's Shuttles and Buses page also lists a scheduled regional bus service that stops at Midway, leaving from O'Hare's Multi Modal Facility.
