Blue Line

Taking the CTA Blue Line from O'Hare

According to O'Hare, the Blue Line station is on the lower level of the parking garage and the Blue Line runs 24 hours. From Terminals 1, 2 and 3, follow the "Trains to City" signs through the pedestrian tunnels on the basement level. From Terminal 5, ride the Airport Transit System to Terminal 2 or 3 first, then follow the same signs.

The fare is $5 when you board at O'Hare, according to the CTA. The Blue Line suits travelers with light bags staying near a downtown Blue Line station. With several bags, children, a group or an address away from the line, a car takes you to the door.

Metra from O'Hare to Union Station

Metra's North Central Service runs weekday trains between the O'Hare Transfer station and Union Station, according to O'Hare. Take the Airport Transit System from any terminal to the Multi Modal Facility at 10255 W. Zemke Blvd. The Metra platform is behind the building, on the northeast corner. Tickets are sold by the conductor, and fares are by zone.
