Full price
1. See the full price before you book
Ask for the complete price for your exact trip, not just a starting rate. Check whether it includes the trip costs or whether fees are added later.
Our example: with Artisan, you see the complete trip price before you book. Rides start from $135 in an Executive Sedan, and hourly service from $120 an hour with a 3-hour minimum.
Gratuity
2. Ask about gratuity
Some companies add a gratuity or service charge automatically. Ask before you book so you're not surprised.
Our example: With Artisan, gratuity is optional. Required trip costs are already included in the price you see before you book, so there's no service charge added on top. Ask any other company whether gratuity is included or added automatically.
Surge pricing
3. Ask about surge or event pricing
Game nights, concerts and holidays are when prices can change. Ask whether the rate is the same on a busy night.
Our example: there's No Surge Pricing on sedans and SUVs.
Airport pickup
4. Check airport pickup rules
Hartsfield-Jackson says all limousine service must be arranged in advance and only permitted companies may pick up. Car service drivers meet passengers inside near the atrium or at the North or South lower-level curb (atl.com, checked October 7, 2026). Ask the company where your chauffeur will meet you.
Also ask how long the chauffeur waits. Our example: Domestic arrivals in a sedan or SUV include 60 minutes of waiting and international arrivals 90 minutes, counted from wheels-down. For Sprinters, vans and coaches, waiting is set in the written quote. See Atlanta airport car service.
Vehicles
5. Ask what vehicle you'll get
"Limo" means different things at different companies: a stretch limousine, a luxury sedan, an SUV or a limo-style Sprinter van. Ask for the vehicle class, the number of seats and the bag space.
Our example: we don't use stretch limousines or party buses. Our limo options are an S-Class, a 7 Series or an Escalade for up to 6 passengers, and a Limo Sprinter for about 8 to 17. See limo service Atlanta.
Sprinters, Mini Coaches and Motorcoaches are priced by written quote for your date and group.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Bags | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Executive Sedan | Up to 2 passengers | Up to 3 bags | Solo travelers and couples |
| Luxury Sedan (S-Class / 7 Series) | Up to 2 passengers | Up to 3 bags | Executives and VIP guests |
| Executive SUV (Suburban) | Up to 6 passengers | Up to 6 bags | Families, child seats, extra luggage |
| Luxury SUV (Escalade) | Up to 6 passengers | Up to 6 bags | Small groups traveling in style |
| Jet Sprinter | About 8–10 passengers | 4–6 bags | Executive groups and VIP guests |
| Executive Sprinter | About 13 passengers | By layout | Teams and airport groups |
| Limo Sprinter | About 8–17 passengers | 4–6 bags | Nights out, weddings and celebrations |
| Mini Coach | Up to 24 passengers | By coach | Events and guest groups |
| Motorcoach | Up to 56 passengers | By coach | Large events and conferences |
Cancellation
6. Read the cancellation policy
Plans change. Ask how far ahead you can cancel for a full refund, and whether groups and events have a different policy.
Our example: Standard confirmed transfers get a full refund when you cancel at least 48 hours before pickup. Inside 48 hours, any refund is at Artisan's discretion. Group programs use 7 days.
Phone hours
7. Check phone hours
Ask when someone answers the phone, in case your plans change on the day.
Our example: you can Request a Ride Online 24/7, and the concierge answers (888) 850-0420 from 7am to 11pm ET.
Reviews
8. Read recent reviews
Look at recent Google reviews and read the low ratings as well as the high ones. Look for comments about being on time, the condition of the vehicle and how problems were handled.
Weddings
Choosing for a wedding
For a wedding, ask all of the above plus: can the car stay with you between the ceremony, photos and reception, how is extra time billed, and can the company move your guests too? Our example: extra time is billed in 30-minute steps at the same rate, approved by you and dispatch, subject to availability. See wedding transportation Atlanta.
Limo vs Uber
Limo vs Uber in Atlanta
It depends on the trip, the time and how many people are riding. A ride-app price is set when you request and moves with demand. With Artisan, you see the full price before you book. For a group, one SUV or Sprinter is priced per vehicle, not per person.
At the Atlanta airport, rideshare pickups for domestic arrivals are at the North Economy lot, described by the airport as about a five-minute walk (atl.com, checked October 7, 2026). A pre-arranged car service meets you inside the terminal or at the lower-level curb.
