DART & trains

DFW airport DART and train options

DART fares: a Local Day Pass is $6.00 and a 3-Hour Pass is $3.00; a Regional Day Pass is $9.00 (dart.org, checked October 7, 2026). A DART Local Pass covers DART Rail, the Silver Line, buses and the TRE between EBJ Union Station and CentrePort/DFW Airport Station (dart.org). DART says its ticket machines are at all DART and TRE rail stations except DFW Airport Terminal B Station, so buy on the GoPass app or tap a contactless card there. DART also notes there are no luggage racks on its light rail vehicles and train staff don't help with bags (dart.org).

DFW lists three public transit options you can reach from the terminals (dfwairport.com, checked October 7, 2026):

  1. DART Orange Line

Runs from Plano through Downtown Dallas and Irving to Terminal A. Arriving passengers exit to lower level A6. From Terminals B, C, D or E, ride the Terminal Link shuttle to Terminal A first.

  2. DART Silver Line

Runs from Plano through Richardson, Addison, Carrollton and Coppell to Terminal B, without going through Downtown Dallas. Exit Terminal B at lower level B30.

  3. TEXRail (Trinity Metro)

Runs from Downtown Fort Worth through North Richland Hills and Grapevine to Terminal B, also from lower level B30.

  4. Trinity Railway Express (TRE)

Connects Dallas and Fort Worth with CentrePort/DFW Airport Station; DART says the TRE LINK shuttle bus connects that station with Terminal D.
