LAX cruise-terminal transfer pricing

Price the actual airport-to-terminal itinerary. Long Beach and San Pedro are different destinations; these class minimums are not fixed port fares, a cruise waiting allowance or a guaranteed connection.

Point-to-point starting fares
Vehicle classStarting from
Executive Sedan$135
Executive SUV — Suburban$155
Luxury SUV — Escalade$185
Luxury Sedan — S-Class/7 Series$235
  • Starting fares are the minimum for each vehicle class, not a fixed airport or destination fare. Your complete trip price depends on the exact addresses, itinerary and selected options.
  • Enter your exact addresses and review the complete required trip price before acceptance. Required trip costs are included; optional gratuity is separate. Accepted changes and excess waiting can cost extra.

Sedan and SUV requests are reviewed for Artisan approval. Sprinters, passenger vans, Mini Coaches and Motorcoaches receive a written quote in the same booking form.

Before entering the destination

Confirm Long Beach rather than San Pedro

Carnival identifies Long Beach Cruise Terminal at the Queen Mary at 231 Windsor Way, Long Beach. Check that terminal against your own line, ship and sailing documents before requesting the LAX transfer. Include the terminal or berth instructions from those documents and any later update from the cruise line.

The Los Angeles Cruise Terminal at the Port of Los Angeles is in San Pedro, at 100 Swinford Street. It is a different destination. A cruise sold as departing ‘Los Angeles’ should be checked by terminal name and full address rather than routed automatically to Long Beach. If the documents say San Pedro, submit that actual destination for review.

The terminal address identifies where the trip goes; it does not confirm a particular pickup lane, port access or greeting inside the facility. Your accepted trip needs its actual permitted loading arrangement, subject to terminal signs and staff directions.

Flight and boarding

Work backward from the cruise check-in window

Give the flight, local arrival date, cruise line, ship and sailing date, with the arrival appointment or check-in window and final boarding deadline shown in the cruise documents. Carnival's guidance distinguishes the arrival appointment from final boarding. A private transfer cannot extend a cruise line's boarding deadline.

Allow for LAX arrival formalities, collecting the entire party's luggage, meeting the car, road conditions and the terminal's check-in process. A flight landing close to the sailing deadline needs a realistic review; a fixed drive-time estimate does not protect a same-day connection. If you decide to arrive a day earlier, enter the hotel-to-terminal ride as a separate leg.

Keep boarding documents, passports or other required travel documents, medicines and essential items with you. Follow the cruise line's current rules for luggage acceptance and boarding. Tell the concierge promptly about a delayed flight or changed sailing instructions so the requested transport can be re-coordinated where possible.

People and bags together

Choose for the full cruise luggage load

Count suitcases and carry-ons as well as passengers, then describe large cases, strollers, garment bags and mobility equipment. Executive and Luxury Sedans list up to 2 passengers and 3 bags; Executive and Luxury SUVs list up to 6 passengers and 6 bags. Oversized pieces or equipment can require a different arrangement even when the passenger count fits.

For a larger party, choose the group vehicle option in the main booking form and request a written quote with the complete load. Include each family's pickup, flight and expected readiness if people arrive separately. If travelers are not together, one airport pickup may not cover the plan; the arrangement may need separate rides or coordinated vehicles.

Child-seat requests require an SUV, with up to two requested in advance subject to availability. Supply each child's age, weight, height and seat type. If the party needs a Sprinter or another group vehicle, do not assume the SUV restraint arrangement transfers to that vehicle; ask for the suitable configuration to be confirmed before acceptance.

The ship's scheduled arrival is not the time your party is ready for a car. Allow for the line's disembarkation process, collecting bags, any customs or immigration processing and reaching the agreed vehicle meeting point. Provide a reachable traveler contact and a requested pickup time that reflects those steps.

Keep the group together with all luggage collected before moving to the confirmed loading area. Follow the line's and terminal staff's exit directions, then use Artisan's confirmed pickup instructions for the booked vehicle. A cruise-line motorcoach representative or meeting point is not automatically the meeting point for your private car.

For a flight after the cruise, include the actual airport, airline, departure time and bag-drop requirements. Discuss the connection before committing to a tight flight. Carnival publishes flight guidelines for its own transfer program; those are not a guarantee that every private-car itinerary will work. Traffic and passenger clearance can change the return plan.

Terminal pickup uses the written scheduled-pickup terms. An airport wheels-down allowance does not automatically apply to the ship's arrival. If disembarkation takes longer than expected, contact the concierge promptly; changes and additional waiting follow the accepted arrangement.

Other legs

Add the airport, hotel or onward stop you actually need

This page primarily plans LAX to Long Beach Cruise Terminal. If your flight uses Long Beach Airport, request LGB as the origin; Carnival also identifies that airport in its own Long Beach transfer program. An airport change creates a different route and pickup plan, so review the actual journey before acceptance.

Add a hotel stay, luggage drop or onward appointment as a named stop when it belongs in the trip. Do not assume the terminal can store your bags while you explore after the cruise. If you need the car between several stops, request hourly service and describe the whole schedule; one terminal transfer does not reserve a vehicle for the rest of the day.

Price and confirmation

Accept the complete cruise-transfer arrangement

The full price uses the actual LAX origin, terminal destination, vehicle and requested itinerary. The price is specific to the selected vehicle and itinerary, rather than one fixed LAX-to-terminal fare. Required normal trip fees are included for the accepted journey; gratuity is optional. Added stops, approved changes and waiting beyond the agreed allowance can change the cost under the accepted terms.

Submit sedan, SUV and group requests through the same booking form. An eligible card-saving request does not charge or confirm the ride. If Artisan approves the exact request, confirmation follows successful payment of the accepted total. A revised offer requires your acceptance; group vehicles receive a written quote with their own accepted payment and cancellation terms.

Check both the outward and return details before accepting: terminal, sailing, dates, ready times, passenger and bag counts, options and destination. If the cruise line changes the terminal or arrival plan, send the update to the concierge; the changed itinerary needs review rather than an automatic substitution.

LAX to Long Beach cruise-transfer questions

Speak with the concierge
Is Long Beach Cruise Terminal the same as the Los Angeles Cruise Terminal?

They are different destinations. Carnival identifies Long Beach Cruise Terminal at the Queen Mary at 231 Windsor Way in Long Beach. The Port of Los Angeles identifies its Los Angeles Cruise Terminal in San Pedro at 100 Swinford Street. Use the terminal and address on your sailing documents.

What cruise details should I add to the LAX transfer?

Give the line, ship, sailing date, exact terminal or berth instructions, arrival appointment or check-in window and final boarding deadline. Include the LAX flight and local arrival date, passenger and luggage totals and a reachable traveler phone number.

Can you guarantee that a same-day flight will reach the ship?

A private transfer cannot guarantee the flight arrival, road conditions, terminal processing or the cruise line's boarding deadline. Review the flight and full boarding schedule before reserving. If the connection is too tight, consider arriving earlier and request the hotel-to-terminal ride separately.

Should I use the cruise line's airport shuttle instead?

Carnival offers its own LAX and LGB transfer program with specific flight eligibility and meeting arrangements. Compare those terms with your party's needs. An Artisan private-car request uses its own accepted itinerary, vehicle and meeting instructions; the cruise-line shuttle meeting point is not automatically your private-car pickup.

When should the return car meet us after the cruise?

Choose a passenger-ready time after disembarkation, bag collection, any customs processing and reaching the agreed vehicle area. The scheduled ship arrival is only one part of that plan. Keep your contact phone available and tell the concierge promptly if the party is delayed.

Can our cruise luggage and children travel in one SUV?

An SUV lists up to 6 passengers and 6 bags, but large cases, a stroller and child restraints change the usable configuration. Request child seats in advance and describe every large item. The party and load need fit review; a group vehicle or multiple vehicles may be appropriate.

Does the terminal transfer include waiting while we explore?

A point-to-point transfer covers the accepted journey and its written wait allowance. It does not keep the vehicle for sightseeing or promise terminal luggage storage. Add stops before acceptance, or request hourly service if you need the car between visits.

Are fees included and is a tip required?

Required normal trip fees are included in the agreed price for your accepted route and vehicle. Gratuity is optional. Extra stops, later approved changes and waiting beyond the agreed allowance follow the accepted terms. A submitted request is still subject to approval and confirmation.
